White is a color of choice in home decor for most of the people these days. For some it reflects peace and for others purity and cleanliness. Not many years back, it was considered to create a dull and boring environment inside homes but today it is considered to bring in class and tranquility. No doubt the elegance it brings in with it is unique. It has become increasingly common in home interiors.
Because of its sense of purity and peace, it is a color preference in meditation rooms, bed rooms, wash rooms and yoga rooms and even in living rooms. Stark white is very rarely used in home décor; mostly its shades are applied. It is also preferred in the kitchen because cleanliness is needed the most in there and it also gives an airy feeling. It can also be used outside the house like for the garden or pool chairs and even on the patio.
White enhance any living area e.g. accessories like cane furniture, pottery, blinds, cushions, sofa, lamp shades and cutlery in white color if used with a little creativity and style spreads elegance indoor. Black always blends excellently with white e.g. a portrait or a picture with a black and white frame on the wall can very easily become a centre of attraction. The lighting of the room also enhances the white color if done accordingly.
It is very easy to bring a sense of cleanliness and sophistication with the use of white color in home interior. It blends well with almost all the colors and always balances the bold colored accessories. Sometimes you need to put some more colors around because white walls and furniture can create monotony. You can put some pots of plants and flowers or a colorful rug, painting or cushions to bring in life to the area.
